Dental Sealants

Protect Your Back Teeth From Decay-Causing Bacteria With Tooth Sealants

Our back permanent teeth are naturally formed with grooves on most surfaces. Many times, these grooves are too deep and too thin for us to clean these areas well. Toothbrush bristles are too large to reach into these grooves to keep food particles and bacteria out.

Sealants are a non-invasive, preventive procedure that protects these pits and fissures from decay-causing bacteria. To further protect the tooth, we use a fluoride-releasing resin that contains no Bisphenol-A (BPA). Sealants can last anywhere from 5-10 years, depending on oral hygiene habits.
