Straight Teeth Every Time

Orthodontics is the specialty of dentistry building beautiful smiles by bringing the teeth, lips and jaws into correct alignment. Straight teeth function better, are easier to keep clean, and create a beautiful smile for a lifetime. Braces can conjure up images of teenagers and their metallic smiles, but here have been great advances in the world of orthodontics. Many more adults are choosing to have their teeth straightened and are glad to have many more options than dental braces available.

For children we can often improve most orthodontic problems at any age, but there is usually a “best age” in terms of the amount of improvement that can be achieved, as well as the type of treatment and cost required. The best age for children to begin an orthodontic evaluation is 7. The first permanent molars have come in and by that time we can evaluate crossbites, crowding, and other problems.
